Spread the Word: Leadership Tomorrow is Now Recruiting for the Class of 2012
Nancy Beverage, graduate of Leadership Tomorrow Class of 1994 and recipient of its “Excellence in Leadership” Award in 2009, ended her award acceptance speech with this quote: “At the end of my LT class I realized that when it comes to community involvement, if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem, a perspective that has served me well.”
As a founding board member of Working Wardrobes, Nancy continues to help those surviving a life crisis by providing them job tools and services as they reenter the workforce. Indeed, she is a vital part of problem-solving within our community; she is “walking the talk”.
Leadership Tomorrow (LT) is a non-profit organization founded on the simple belief that the more knowledgeable people are about how their community works and what its needs are, the better they will lead and serve that community. Each class is comprised of a mixture of corporate and business people, residents, community activists and public sector employees providing a meaningful cross section of those who are committed to their community.
This year, as LT recruitment starts seeking leaders interested in doing more for their respective communities, the LT Class beginning September, 2011, faces problems some have never faced before in this generation. Perhaps participants in the LT 10-month program will not only establish a network of informed and knowledgeable peers, but also learn innovative creative ways to address current community issues and at the same time increase their effectiveness as leaders in their own career paths. It is a challenge well worth undertaking.
LT class graduates become a part of an ever-increasing pool of informed future leaders that are Leadership Tomorrow’s legacy to the community. If you or someone you know is interested in joining Leadership Tomorrow, have them contact us. Make each day count.
